Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self Control and Respect are cornerstones of Taekwondo Training.
We show respect to our studio by:
Bowing as we enter our school
When we enter and leave the training area.
We also show respect to our Instructors and other students with the Traditional Korean greeting of a respectful bow.
Practicing courtesy and respect helps to turn respect and courtesy into habits in our daily lives and is one of the most important aspects of our teaching and training.
Students should wait until they have entered the studio before wearing their belt.
Students should not wear their full uniform or belt when they go to other locations such as a store or restaurant.
Students should show respect to their uniforms and belts. Belts are not toys and should be worn at all times during class and never mistreated.
Students also show respect to their school by helping to keep the Dojang clean and tidy.
Students should place their shoes on the shoe rack or under the shoe rack in an orderly manner.
Students should also make sure to clean up after themselves whenever they are sitting in the family viewing area and other places in the studio.
